Supporting CrossFit Regionals Golden Medalists

One of the biggest opportunities of my career to date. What a year! A year and a half ago did I think I would be working with the best Crossfit team in the Pacific region. The answer would have been no. Seven years ago, I was sitting at the computer desk writing up an assignment at 2am in the morning for a Uni course, were I was doing  a bachelor of commence.  Furthermore, I didn’t even want to do this degree. I was an young adult student thinking I was in the path that I wanted to be. However, I was committing myself in this assignment saying that I going to be an Osteo in 6 years from now working with the best of the best in rugby.

I was looking back on that paper recently and I think, dam I got an A but something was missing  I am not working in the rugby community. However, I am working with the best of the best and dam what a journey it is taking me on.

The team Osteo to the best Crossfit team in New Zealand and more importantly the winning team of the 2017 Crossfit Pacific region.

What is this post about?

No its not about blowing my whistle, This post is about setting your sights on something that fits in alignment with what you want and go for it.

Setting your sights on what you want to achieve is important it gives direction, boosts motivation and self-confidence.  Research has shown that what I am referring to which is goal setting has positive implementation on oneself. Furthermore, this can be long or short term event. Business success, improving our, passing that exam are all part of daily lives we set our sights on what we want to achieve. Although, more importantly we must hold ourselves accountable for our actions.

Functional Strength 2017 team #FS2017, set their sights on winning the Pacific regionals back in November 2016. Members had to travel from many distances in order for them to train and qualify for regionals. This teams mindset was fixated on their passion and love of Crossfit and their longing to go to the games. Their goals had been set in stone, this is what they wanted, and this is how they are going to get it.

I believe that #FS2017 didn’t just set their sights on, well it would be nice to go to regionals or maybe we could go to Games. They invested time, money and sweat into their dreams and made it come true.  My sights earlier were for me to look after the best of the best in rugby and yet I haven’t made it into the Rugby scene, however, I am working with the best of the best. Furthermore, Five weeks’ time  Functional strength 2017 Pacific regional winner are going to be running into that Stadium at Madison Wisconsin, with their eyes set on the prize.

Ask yourself what have you got your sights set on? And are you on the right pathway to that goal?

Leaving you on a positive note with one of my favourite quotes;

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.  Muhammad Ali.
